Enhancing security and workplace safety with comprehensive system integration

Project Introduction:
Equilibrium, a prominent business with a diverse range of assets and operations, faced increasing concerns about security vulnerabilities and the need to safeguard its premises, employees, and valuable resources. To address these challenges, they sought a comprehensive security solution that would provide robust protection and round-the-clock monitoring.
This case study explores how our company successfully installed intruder alarms, CCTV cameras, an addressable fire alarm system, and a Paxton access control system, along with 24/7 monitoring and support, to deliver an effective security infrastructure for Equilibrium.
Project Introduction:
Equilibrium is a leading business with multiple locations housing sensitive information, high-value assets, and a substantial workforce. Their primary objective was to create a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets while preventing unauthorised access and minimising the risk of fire-related incidents.
Internal Security:
As you enter the property, the first system you encounter is the Paxton Access Control. We have a reader on the front door to allow access to users depending on the permissions they have been given. Moving further through the building, we have various other doors controlled by the Paxton system. Within the communications room, we have the CCTV monitoring system – all set up with our specialist Davantis Analytics and Audio amplifiers.
We have a building-wide Addressable Fire Alarm System, every room/void is covered with fast-acting smoke and fire detectors. The system really is the best in class.
Internally, we have cameras recording 24 hours a day for health and safety purposes. This is accompanied by a 30-day backup for any discrepancies.
External Security:
Externally, the windows each have vibration sensors, often two on a big window to ensure detection. On both sides of the building, we have an alarm bell box, two turret cameras facing either way and two tannoys. Our system creates a complete permitter, ensuring anyone gaining access to the premises is detected as quickly as possible.
If an intruder poses a threat, the first port of call is always an audio warning. If the intruder does not respond to this, Keyholders and the Police will be called to the site. If the intruder still continues towards the building, they will then be face with the intruder alarm system. The moment any of the windows or doors are attacked, the intruder alarm system will be triggered – instantly alerting the alarm monitoring station.
Although our systems are all connected, the Alarm and CCTV systems are triggered separately for complete coverage.
Security Installation and Testing:
The installation was meticulously executed according to the project timeline. Extensive testing was conducted on all components to verify their functionality and seamless integration.
